Ontario, Canada – June 5-6 2010, the Wilderness Traverse 24 adventure race will feature Live GPS Tracking, powered by TrackMe360.  Teams will embark on an unforgettable (expedition in a weekend) journey, and their fans, friends and family will be able to follow along online, as the team’s SPOT GPS beacons continuously update the live google map.  The live map will be available for public viewing as soon as the course has been made public to the teams Friday night June 4th.

April 6th, 2010 – Jordan Romero, 13 year old marvel mountaineer from Big Bear Lake, California, has left on the big journey that will eventually place him on the top of the world atop Mount Everest, some time in May.  Jordan will be carrying a GPS satellite beacon from TrackMe360, that together with mapping technology from ESRI (makers of the most used GIS Geo mapping software in the world) will give Jordan’s fans and friends a chance to follow his adventure. Live map will be posted soon (check back here)

I don’t know about you, but when I was 13, I was stoked to climb that 100 ft hill behind the school…Jordan has climbed Elbrus, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Karstens…what am I missing???…incredible!

Live Tracking April 10!

First of all – thank you for jumping on this impromptu test on very short notice.  Having worn one of these tracking beacons on numerous runs, I can assure you that it won’t be a hindrance – in fact, you are likely to forget that you’re even wearing it.  I wanted to make sure we are all clear about what we are doping, and where the live maps are, before we get too close to the event, so you have a chance to let your friends know.  We have 5 test runners who will have live tracking:

Ensenada, Baja Norte, Mexico – March 1, 2010 – TooMuchFun Promotions announced that all side-by-side vehicles will be tracked this year using TrackMe360 provided SPOT GPS beacons and TrackMe360 online live tracking map.  This will give everyone at home “peace of mind”, knowing where the riders are on their journey.  The SPOT also gives the riders the ability to call for help, should they need it.
